    A ship’s logbook is a document that records all activities on a ship board. The logbook shall be approved by the Maritime Administration’s Ship Register Department. The master shall ensure that the logbook is kept up to date.

    The completed logbook shall be kept on board for one year. Thereafter, the logbook shall be deposited with the shipowner for a period of 5 years.
