The plinth strip is used at joints in buildings where it is desired to prevent capillary movement of moisture between the structure or building materials. The plinth strip evens out the unevenness of the material below, which also acts as an air seal as a capillary barrier. Improves the noise resistance of the structure.
The product is made of aging- and alkali-resistant PE foam rubber and is closed with pores. Used, for example, between the plinth and the downstream. A good alternative to the bitumen tape used so far.
A sure choice for a specialist!
Installation:
First, the plinth is cleaned of debris. The substrate must be straight and clean. The plinth strip is placed on the plinth from the corner and left between the plinth and the base tree until it is nailed, screwed or bolted. All joints are taped with Sitko vapor barrier tape and sealed with Sitko sealing compound.
