Every roof needs periodic maintenance and inspection. Safe cleaning of the roof, chimney or skylight is ensured by roof safety accessories – on roof rails, roof bridge and, if necessary, on wall edges. Be sure to use a roof ladder with a slope greater than 1: 8 (over 7 degrees). The roof bridge should be installed parallel to the roof ridge and in front of the chimney for safe and easy cleaning.

Snow barrier is required if the roof slope is greater than 1: 8 (7 degrees). Snow barriers should be installed to protect entrances, sidewalks under eaves, recreation and play areas, and eaves gutter junctions to protect against snow and ice from the roof. A snow barrier must be installed near the eaves over the outer wall so that the snow load is carried on the load-bearing structures of the building.
