Sail and rig trim
Having served as a professional sailor, Ivar Lind Dedekam has sailed under more than 50,000 nautical miles in more than 25 years, including three times crossing the Atlantic. Based on his experience, he has written several books for recreational seafarers, which have been published in 2015 by Boatmen wisdom and in 2016 by Navigation.
An easy-to-read and understand illustrated manual, “Sail and Rigging Trimmer,” explains how sails and rigging work and adjust. Practical instructions for setting the right trim can be found in the book for both beginners and experienced sailors.
The book’s popularity is evidenced by its publication in 19 languages, with over 175,000 copies in total.
The book has been translated by Hillar Kukk, sailing around the world as captain of the sailing Martha.
