GRP 420 gland packing is braided of expanded graphite yarn with high purity class, same as other Grafopak series packings. This packing is additionally impregnated with PTFE dispersion for improving its flexibility and sliding properties.
This GRP 420 packing, as other graphite seals, has a very good thermal conductance, the low coefficient of friction and self-lubricating properties. Moreover, it has a higher tolerance for poor condition of a stuffing box and gives the tightness at lower pressure than packing made from pure graphite. It is abo more flexible and easier to montage and formation in gland bows of pumps.
The GRP 420 packing is designed for dynamic seats of pumps in contact with clear water. Because of its a high chemical resistance abo it is suitable for working with hydrocarbons and other chemicals.
This packing, as other Grafopak graphite seals has a very good thermal conductance, the low coefficient of friction and self-lubricating properties.
