Sealant BIRKOSIT

Description:
BIRKOSIT Dichtungskitt® is a one-component, reddish-brown, permanently elastic sealing paste.

Temperature Resistance:
Up to 900 °C. Resistant to superheated steam, water, air, oils, and chemical gases.

Pressure Resistance:

• 250 bar on sealing surfaces

• 450 bar on flanges without gaskets

• 550 bar on threaded joints

Use Cases:
Ideal for steam/gas turbines, compressors, pumps, valves, gearboxes, marine engines, etc.

Application:
Apply 0.2–0.3 mm layer on dry surfaces with brush or spatula. Immediate load possible. Unlimited assembly time.

Service Life:
Up to 10 years when used correctly.
Shelf life:

• 5 years (sealed)

• 3 years (opened and properly closed)
